Yunnan Royal Pu-Erh 2008
Yunnan Roal Pu-Erh 2008 comes from Lincang region of China that is renown for pu-erh tea production. This large-leaf pu-erh was harvested in 2008, and oxidized for 7 years to produce a dark-brown, buttery infusion with surprisingly smooth and sweet taste. Rich aroma is typical for pu-erh teas and reveals earthy notes.
Hand-picked in Lincang, Yunnan, China, in July 2008. Yunnan is considered to be the birthplace of Camellia Sinensis plant. The mountains with peaks reaching 3,000 m (10,000 ft) altitude along with mild climate provide the best imaginable conditions for tea growing. During summer, the Tibet plateau stops monsoon winds and traps the rain in the province, which gives the alpine flora an incredible lushness.
